PT Jakpro Strengthens Collaboration Reducing Waste in Jakarta

Commemorating the 15th National Garbage Care Day, the PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) along with related regional working units (SKPD) commits to collaborate in reducing the volume of waste in Jakarta.

Preliminary Market Sounding is the beginning of the acceptance and review process of proposals for the collaboration

This collaboration was made with the Environment Agency, Communication, Information and Statistics Agency, as well as Assessment and Application of Technology Agency (BBPT) marked by the Preliminary Market Sounding for ITF Development on Wednesday (2/19).

"Preliminary Market Sounding is the beginning of the acceptance and review process of proposals for the collaboration of potential strategic partners, in parallel with the pre-feasibility study process," PT Jakpro's Business Development Director, Hanief Arie Setianto, yesterday.

Jakpro Officially Implements ITF Sunter Project

According to him, the city had issued the Gubernatorial Regulation number 65/2019 on the assignment to PT Jakpro in organizing the ITF (Intermediate Treatment Facility).

This project acted to reduce municipal solid waste at least 80 percent using appropriate and environmentally friendly technology, reducing dependence on the Bantargebang Landfill, as well as waste reduction and handling strategies according to statutory provisions.

"In the use of technology, important requirements mandated in the regulation that technology must be environmentally friendly. Therefore, Jakpro collaborated with BPPT in the pre-feasibility study in Q1/2020 until mid-Q2/2020 with global consultants," he stated.
